The information below has been provided to explain what I have to offer; please look it over before sending me a request. Please follow the links for explanations of highlighted terms.
Sets
I have a complete set of files for use with the latest version of the MAME emulator, fully-merged and verified with ClrMAME Pro scanning the ROM set against the Windows command-line executable file released by the MAME team.
I chose that file as it's as close to an official release of MAME as can be gotten and ClrMAME Pro MIGHT report different results when using a different release.
The complete set comes with all necessary .chd files, game artwork and sound samples. Also included are extras such as icons, game snapshots and title-screen shots along with images of original game flyers, cabinets, marquees and control panels. These extras don't always cover every game but I've collected everything that's generally available My various sets of console and computer system ROMs are mostly organized using the Good and TOSEC series of database tools. The DAPHNE laserdisc MPEGs are set up and include the necessary files to work properly with DAPHNE.
To request material from me you can either:
Method A:
You send me money to obtain the blank media and packaging and include the cost of sending the aforementioned to you. If done this way you can expect:
Method B:
You obtain obtain the blank media and packaging and send them to me. You'll need to include a self-addressed stamped envelope
with correct postage to cover return shipping. Please reread the previous sentence. Do not expect me to (a) find out where you live, or (b) pay for your postage if you do not enclose any. Also, I will not supply return envelopes; you must include your own and it must be addressed and stamped.
Packages that arrive postage-due won't be accepted. If there's no return packaging or the packaging has insufficient postage (or none at all), the discs will not be mailed until the sender provides the sufficient materials/postage. Please do not expect me to re-use the outside packaging as the return package; once it's been opened, the outside packaging is usually not suitable to use for the return.
I cannot tell you how much return postage for your package will be as I have no way of knowing how big it is or what it weighs; your local post office can help you.
Do not have the post office print you a metered sticker for the return package; these stickers are dated and meant to be used on the day they're printed (which makes them unsuitable for return postage).
For my own convenience, I use the United States Postal Service exclusively; so please don't send anything via UPS or Fed Ex.
Bear in mind that the disc(s), packaging and shipping material you send will be
what's used to fulfill your request so please choose well.
Tally up the total number of discs necessary to fulfill your request (you'll find the numbers on my "ROMs" page) and then add a few extra...sending spare discs raises the likelihood you'll get your full request in the event one or more fail. All unused or failed discs will be returned to you unless you specifically tell me I can keep any unused ones. If any of the discs you send are defective I will burn what ROMs I can on the good ones. When sending DVD-Rs, they must be of the "-R" type, 4.7 GB in size, rated to at least 8x speed and single-sided; I have disc-images to fit these pre-prepped on my hard drive...makes filling the requests go that much quicker. Any necessary CD-Rs must be 80-minute (700 MB) and rated at least 40X speed. 8x for DVD-R and 40x for CD-R are the speeds at which I burn; if your media isn't rated for it, there will be coasters. When sending DVD-Rs, PLEASE choose good quality discs; CD burners seem somewhat tolerant of cheaper media but DVD burners are finicky, particularly when it comes to higher speeds; cheap media is far more likely to fail at 8x. Basically, look for "Made In Japan" on the label of the DVD-Rs you're buying...if they're made elsewhere, you may find yourself disappointed with the results (do not send Memorex DVD-Rs as my burner doesn't appear to like them). And bear this in mind; when I burn someone's discs and coasters start popping out to the point where there are not enough blanks left to fulfill their request, I just do what I can and move on to the next request. So, again, please purchase wisely. To sum up, please choose good quality discs (of the proper format!) and send a few extra. Please include return packaging that is self-addressed and includes correct postage for use with the United States Postal Service. All the information you need for a smooth experience is shown above. Please do not make alternate suggestions, alternate offers or expect flexibility; this is the system that works for me. For the foreseeable future, this offer will be limited to the full MAME ROMs set; please don't ask me to do otherwise...if I do change my mind, I'll remove this sentence. Requests for anything but the MAME set will be ignored. Lastly, if you live outside the U.S., you'll need to procure U.S. postage and include a completed customs form for your return package. If you choose to send me your own media, please email me for details and include your physical address in the message.
In either case, the following applies:
Burning Time
Please remember this is a voluntary service; I do my best to fill requests as quickly as possible usually 1-3 days, weekends notwithstanding. If demand becomes heavy (as it usually does around the time of a new MAME release) it could be up to 5 days, depending on how many sets are in your request. Any notice of general delays will be found near the top of the "ROMs" page. Ultimately, since life is life and one never knows what's going to happen tomorrow, I do not offer a guaranteed shipping time.
Since I'm not comfortable with the thought of dropping these packages in a mailbox, I take them directly to the post office which also enables me to get them marked fragile. Because of this and due to the fact that I can't always get to the post office on Saturday, a request made on Friday might not be mailed until Monday. If something occurs to prevent my handling your request in a reasonable amount of time (and I reserve for myself the right to define what that is), I'll let you know. Demands for higher priority will be ignored, and I reserve the right to withdraw the service if I'm unhappy with the nature of the request.
Copyright
I don't know you, nor do I know your legal rights on entitlement for this material. The legality of this material is your responsibility - I make no claims on the legal status of these ROMs, nor do I supply or transfer any
license or copyright with the ROM sets. By requesting that you have discs burned for you, you agree with these
terms.
COPY THESE DISCS AND GIVE THEM AWAY BY ALL MEANS, BUT DO NOT RESELL THESE ROMS
Tracking
Upon receiving a request, I'll send a message to the sender confirming that I have it, then another after it's been fulfilled and mailed.
Packages sent using USPS Priority Mail will be assigned a tracking number by the postal service. Typically, I don't notify people what their tracking numbers are since there's usually no need; it's VERY rare that a package gets lost in the mail. But if I sent your package via Priority Mail and you didn't receive it, please notify me so I can check the tracking to find out what happened.
Service
If you have any further questions feel free to contact me.
If you have any problems with your disc(s) let me know.
Guarantee
There is no guarantee whatsover expressed or implied pertaining to the ROMS themselves or the media on which they are contained. The efficiency or inefficiency of the postal services are beyond my control and thus anything that occurs while your discs are not in our direct custody are likewise exempt from any guarantee or warranty of any kind.
We will not accept any liability for any damages that occur to you or your property as a result of the use of - or inability to use - these discs and/or their contents. I reserve the right to refuse to accept or fulfill any request at any time; the sending of materials or funds does not automatically imply that I will fulfill your request. Should I refuse to fulfill your request after you've already sent me funds or discs, I will return to you exactly what you sent to me, using the same method of transfer (ie. credit card, US Mail).
Donations
Yes, I accept them but please keep in mind they're strictly that: donations aren't related to this service, don't help keep this site or service going and they won't buy someone's way up the queue;
requests will be filled in the order they're received, regardless. If you feel like donating, thanks! If not, that's fine too.

Please note: the calculations performed in the form boxes on my 'ROMs' page are done by JavaScript. Although the script has been tested extensively with the latest versions of the most popular web browsers, there remains a slim chance that some version of some browser could misinterpret the JavaScript. Because there are so many browsers and versions available to users, I cannot guarantee correct interpretation with them all. Therefore, should a situation require it, I reserve the right to expect a correction of any improper request or amount sent to me. Should you have a concern regarding any request or amount you did, in fact, send, please contact me with the relevant details of your request and I'll be more than happy to supply the correct information.
